For example, Glassdoor, one of the largest job search website in the U.S., when a college student is apply- ing for a job, his potential competitors could be 30s who already had job experiences. This is unfair for the college student who might be looking for his first job. On the other hand, every competitor on HandShake is a college student like himself. Even though some students might already have intern or job experiences, there are many other opportuni- ties that don’t require previous job experience; in another word, the opportunities on HandShake are best fits for first time workers and fresh-graduates. Not only does HandShake provides job opportunities, but also gives students a chance to on their own projects by helping students meet the community around them. Students can find their classmates who share the same major, class year, or habit.
