All the potential workers on HandShake are students who may or may not have worked before. On other websites, employers can find workers with better experiences. Why should employers choose hand- shake then? First of all, employers can get the accurate information of the students. Schools provide employers how the students are performing at school. This way, students can’t provide the wrong information to make their profile prettier but inaccurate. Second, every people on HandShake have a certain education level. If the job requires the appliers to be at least Last but not least, HandShake is a great tool for international U.S. college students. Many companies in the U.S. don’t recruit international students because they might not want to sponsor work visas. Even though American Constitution protects racism (It is against the laws for a company if it judges appliers base on their identity, race, and gender), it is obvious that international students are still at a disadvantage compared to the American students. According to the article “Foreign students may have a tougher time finding jobs in the U.S”, a Taiwanese student says: “When I get the flier of the company some of the companies say they do sponsor international students. But when I get in and ask them directly some of them say ‘No, we don’t actually sponsor it,’”. This shows that many compa- nies provided fake information online to provide breaking the laws. Therefore, many international students wouldn’t really know if the company is willing to sponsor them work visas. To avoid this confusion, HandShake would help provide whether or not the company is willing to accept international students or not. This provides an useful information for international students when applying for jobs. a college graduate or currently studying in college, Hand- Shake is the perfect website to work with. Finally, HandShake has a great network of new talents and fresh-bloods that could be the best fit for the team. It is a great place to find the best talents from the new generation or if the company wants to make its working environment a more energetic place. In addition, Employers are able to engage with students directly and bring in new idea from the new generation. Competition HandShake isn’t much different than other job hunting website such as Glassdoor. They’re both great resource for checking up on the company, seeing the reviews for employers and getting the interview questions. The main difference is that Handshake is provided only for U.S. students only. And students can meet the community around them and able to see if there’s any job fair around them. Both Students and Employers Another important reason for both students and employers is the opportunity to meet each other. Hand- Shake provides on-campus events information to both students and employers. It reminds students to attend job fairs to meet the representations of companies. Also, companies can directly talk and meet with students to see their enthusiasms. This gives both students and employers the chance to meet and see if they’re the best fit for each other.
